Dorinda Rolle, PhD
Dr. Dorinda Rolle is president of Rolle and Associates, a management consulting and training firm offering services to nonprofit organizations and businesses in the areas of strategic planning, board development, corporate training, group facilitation, research and special projects. She is also a partner in the change management firm, Transition Management Solutions, LLC.
Dr. Rolle has held positions with various organizations in the academic, business, government and nonprofit arenas. She has been an adjunct professor in the Industrial/Organizational Psychology program at St. Mary's University and the African American Studies Program at the University of Texas at San Antonio. She also conducts executive coaching, leadership training and organizational development consulting.
Dr. Rolle is an expert in establishing and managing tax exempt organizations and has over 20 years of experience. Since 1998, she has been successful in forming 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporations and teaching others how to start and manage those organizations.
In addition to consulting and training, she is a motivational speaker to business, nonprofit organizations, women’s groups, and on college campuses. She inspires her students and audiences to set high goals and to reach for excellence. Dr. Rolle is a skilled group facilitator, known for her ability to help leaders synthesize visions and goals for their organizations. She is a graduate of several leadership programs including the Municipal Leadership Institute, African American Leadership Institute, Leadership San Antonio, Leadership Texas, the Masters Leadership Program and the Neighborhood Leadership Academy.
She is a past president of the San Antonio Association for Organizational Development and a past president of the San Antonio Chapter of the Association for Talent Development. Dr. Rolle has served on the boards of Texas Mental Health Consumers, the Rotary Club of San Antonio, New Life Business Alliance, Empowerment Seminars, In Loving Memory Foundation, San Antonio Branch of the American Association of University Women, San Antonio Inc., Brighton School and the Achievers School. Dr. Rolle was appointed to the Affirmative Action Committee for the City of San Antonio by Mayor Julian Castro and served on the Community Advisory Board of Texas Public Radio. She is a founding board member of Black Women’s Leadership Alliance and holds memberships with various professional and civic associations and volunteers her time and skills in a diverse range of interests including international efforts in Mexico, Tanzania, Japan, South Africa and Israel.
Her clients include the United States Air Force Band, Goodwill Industries, AT&T, H-E-B Grocery Co., CPS Energy, governmental agencies and several small and mid-sized organizations. Dr. Rolle holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business Administration from Webster University in St. Louis, Missouri and earned a Ph.D. in Organizational Leadership from the University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio, Texas where her doctoral research focused on leadership development.
